The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released an official notification for recruiting Phase-XII/2024/Selection posts. There are 2049 vacancies. Selection Process
The recruitment process for SSC consists of the following stages
- Computer Based Examination (Online Objective Test )
- Skill Test/ Typing Test/ Computer Proficiency Test
- Document Verification
Computer Based Examination
- Computer Based Examination is an online objective type test with 100 questions for 200 marks.
- The duration of the test is 60 minutes (1 hour).
- It consists of 4 sections.
- A 0.50 mark for each wrong answer will be deducted as a penalty.
Note: The duration of the test for candidates eligible for scribes as per paras 9.1, 9.2, and 9.3 = 80 minutes

- Separate Computer Based Examinations will be conducted, for the posts with minimum Educational Qualification of Matriculation, Higher Secondary, and Graduation & above levels.
- Marks scored by candidates will be normalized as per SSC’s notice.
- The merit list will be prepared based on the normalized mark.
Skill Test/ Typing Test/ Computer Proficiency Test
- The Skill Test/ Typing Test/ Computer Proficiency Test will be conducted only for required particular posts.
- This test is qualifying nature only i.e. marks obtained in the Skill Test/ Typing Test/ Computer Proficiency test are not considered for final selection.
- Each candidate is required to obtain a minimum total score as decided by the commission.
Document Verification
- Candidates shortlisted from the computer-based examination will be called for document verification.
- Candidates have to bring all their original certificates as mentioned in the notice for document verification.
- The venue for document verification cannot be changed on request..
